Curriculum Leader.

I am a passionate advocate for children and children’s rights. Together with my wife Julie, I own and manage The Ole Schoolhouse Early Childhood Centre here in Rotorua. I regularly undertake special project work for the Ministry of Education in Supporting Early Learning Opportunities (SELO). I have had a career spanning 35 years involving leadership in early childhood education, creative and performing arts, and in curriculum planning and assessment. I am regarded as an expert in child protection practice, particularly recognising and responding to childhood sexual abuse, and I have delivered training on child protection to a wide range of frontline professionals across the Bay of Plenty, Auckland and the Waikato.
