In order to make our experiences more significant and richer, continue with our learning, engagement and reflection there needs to be continuous interaction with the people and the environment.  Children are one such group of individuals who have always motivated me and been my source of inspiration providing me with opportunities for regular interaction and gripping reflection. My earliest career back home in Fiji began with children and gladly enough I am still continuing with my passion for children and their learning. Through experiences with my own children and literature reviews, I have come to the realisation that allowing children uninterrupted play is crucial as every activity and interaction diverges in irreplaceable learning. Effective teachers endeavour to ignite in children a love of learning. I strive to build on children’s existing skills, knowledge and understanding while embracing a commitment to reciprocal relationships with families and whānau.
